Behavior Managment Coaching for Your Teen
Has your teen stopped listening to you?
...but he/she continues to make bad choices that cost your family , money, time, and unwanted stress?
Maybe your teen could use a coach!
Who Needs A Coach?
Ask most successful people today how they became successful… and they will tell you that their coach or mentor played a significant role in their success.
Our coaches will first listen throughly to you and your teen to gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges your family faces, and then use high quality, time tested, success principles, to help motivate your teen to be successful in overcomming those challenges. (We don’t guarantee success over night, but many have found our coaching services to be very helpful.)
We use a four step process to help your teen reach his/her goals:
- Step #1: Identify teen’s personal motivators
- Step #2: Help your teen set written measurable and attainable goals
- Step #3: Help your teen develop an individualized action plan for success
- Step #4: Help your teen follow through to success using effective personal accountability strategies.
Our one-on-one coaching can help with issues like: lack of motivation, peer pressure, chronic getting into trouble, low performance at school, rebelliousness, anger management, bullying, recovering from failure, fear of failure, and fear of success among other issues.

Why will my teen listen to a coach when he/she won’t listen to me?
The simple fact is that your voice is too familiar to them. By the time they become teens they have listened to you for the last 13+ years of their lives and unfortunately your voice has less and less impact on them. Eventually they can almost tune you out at will. As coaches, we can (and more than likely will) say many of the same things you are saying to them, but have it received differently by your teen - simply because it comes from a different voice.
Also, as teens they are beginning the separation & identity formation process which is natural and very beneficial if at some point they are to leave the nest. Part of the separation process involves exploring new ideas, new relationships, and new sources of information. (You have probably also noticed that they are often easily influenced by their friends and/or popular culture as well.)
My teen needs it, but isn’t One-On-One Coaching too Expensive?
The issue for most families is not that they can’t afford it. The real issue is they can’t afford not to do it. With the high cost of going to court, paying for tickets, hiring an attorney, lost time at work, health related issues due to worry and stress, as well as other costs coaching is a proactive solution that ultimately saves many families money. It is an investment in your family that will benefit your family for many years to come. (Also, various payment options are available based upon your family’s income level. The first meeting is free.)
But we are already seeing a counselor…
That’s great! There are some similarities between counseling and coaching, but the primary difference is that counselors tend to be more concerned about the emotional health and well being of the client and the teen coach is more interested in helping the client to be successful in achieving a specific goal or set of goals he/she wants to achieve. Both can be helpful to your teen. Coaching is often less expensive.
